Ty serves as the Ministry Pastor at Connect Church, where he helps lead and oversee areas including Connect Groups, pastoral care, missions, and other ministries designed to help people grow in their walk with Jesus and discover their God-given purpose.
At the heart of Ty’s ministry is a deep passion for evangelism, discipleship, and seeing people transformed by the presence of God. Having not grown up in church, Ty’s own life was radically changed as an adult through a divine encounter with the living God. Experiencing the overwhelming grace of Jesus and the call of God upon his life shaped a conviction that continues to drive his ministry today: no one is beyond the reach of God, and there is no limit to what He can do through a life fully surrendered to Him.
Ty’s greatest desire is to help people discover who they are in Christ, deepen their personal relationship with God, and learn to live yielded to the leadership of the Holy Spirit. Whether through preaching, pastoral care, missions, discipleship, or simply walking alongside people through life, his heart is to embolden and encourage others to walk in the fullness of what Jesus has purchased for them.
If you spend much time around Ty, it will not take long to discover that evangelism is in his blood. He loves stirring faith in others and challenging people to believe that God has far more for their lives than they could ask, think, or imagine – a life deeply abiding in His presence, grounded in His Word, and directed by His Spirit.
Outside of ministry, Ty and his wife Maycie love the outdoors—whether hiking in the mountains, fishing, hunting, or spending time at the range. Maycie, who has an extensive background in worship, serves on the Connect Church worship team and is Ty’s greatest supporter, encourager, and partner in ministry. He and his wife, Maycie, recently welcomed their greatest miracle, baby TJ, into the world.
Ty and Maycie are incredibly grateful that God has called their family to Connect Church, and they consider it a tremendous privilege to raise their son, serve Jesus, and do life alongside a faith family they deeply love.
